Thanksgiving

Another year past. My parents were well enough to travel for the holiday and visited relatives in an adjoining state. As a result, my family of four stayed home, alone, and had a nice quiet day yesterday.

I do NOT go shopping on Black Friday and today was no exception. My oldest DS and I went to visit my parents' cat at the kennel. Crazy, I know, but you have to know this cat. He was thrilled to see us and shed about a pound of fur to prove it. I normally don't mind being around cats, as I have one, but today was different. Matlock actually climbed up on my shoulder. Not something he normally does. He was happy to see us, but will be better when my parents return.

I did shop today, from the ease of my chair with the help of my computer and credit card. The DSes are mostly taken care of, as are my parents. Hubby still has to come through with a wish list.

I have signed all the Christmas cards. Now I must spend time addressing them tomorrow.

You are down to addressing to the Christmas cards? I am still trying to decide if I will send any this year, and if so how many. Good for you.

I used to send them faithfully, and I loved to get them. These days I just don't seem to give me the same thrill, and with email I keep in touch with people often enough that it is no longer a way to stay connected.

I am glad you had good holiday.

If I get busy and do not have a chance to comment again before Christmas.

Merry Christmas and a very blessed New Year to your and yours.

Thanks so much. I have done the Christmas cards on Thanksgiving weekend for abou 20 years. At first it was a way to stay busy when we first married and were with his parents on the holiday. They dote on him, not so much on me. Cards kept me busy.

I like getting the cards with the pictures of friends' kids and the annual update.

I hope you and the boys enjoy the Christmas holidays. I enjoyed seeing how y'all spent Thanksgiving. Very relaxing. I pray that Christmas is the same.
